Our Wine Merchants play a critical role in enabling customer discovery in the world of drinks, providing a concierge style end to end experience for our customers.

The role:

• Create exceptional customer experiences by sharing your love and knowledge of wine in an easy to understand way.

• Create engaging tasting events for your store.

• Encouraging loyalty by taking the customer on a journey of discovery through our range of wines and beverages through a customer centric lens

• Proactively engage the store team to increase product knowledge, empowering the team with easy to reproduce skills to bring our range to life.

• Balance sales targets with the customer journey to ensure the customer walks away as passionate as you are.

The YOU:

• YOU are knowledgeable and confident in the world of wine

• YOU have proven experience in hospitality, sales or retail

• YOU will have experience in a drinks related role

• YOU will have coaching & facilitation experience (advantageous)

• YOU will have WSET Level 3 or equivalent (advantageous)

• YOU are available to work in peak trading hours, with part-time and full-time opportunities available

Candidates will be required to complete a functional screening assessment as part of the recruitment process.

In 1952, an ambitious and plucky upstart opened a liquor store to rival his father's. You might have heard of him. His name was Daniel Francis Murphy, and he did things a little differently. Dan launched Australia's first wine club, threw storied social events and introduced his guests to exciting wines from all over the world. But above all, he believed in offering his customers the best experience and the biggest range at the lowest price.
