As a result of continued growth and opportunities, this long term established business is seeking a Print Assistant to join our team in a fast paced, high performing and busy environment.
About the role:
An exciting and immediate opportunity for a Print Assistant to join our growing production team. These permanent full-time positions will function on night shifts across 3 days starting at 6pm finishing at 6pm. A 36-hour week consisting of 3 x 12hr shifts from Sunday to Tuesday. The Printing Assistant position will be responsible for assisting the Printer in operating the press and machinery to produce and print a variety of high-quality in-mould labels.
Duties include:
- Assisting the Print Operator on Heidelberg Machinery to print labels
- Blend and test inks according to specification.
- Check production output according to determined quality specifications.
- Proficient in English in order to complete work order documentation.
- Determine corrective actions when product is out of specification.
- Follow the work instructions, work procedures and safety procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team.
- Problem solving acumen.

- Physically fit and able to lift up to perform manual handling tasks.
- Ability to visually see all colours
- Excellent quality control and high attention for detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- High regard for safety
- Must have reliable transport.
