Talent International is working in partnership with our federal government client in an experienced Wintel Administrator with a a diverse set of skills that can work within the IT Infrastructure team. Working under the IT Infrastructure manager, your work will focus on Business as Usual (BAU) tasks, working with the IT infrastructure and IT security team primarily to deploy group policy and software/application patches for Windows Desktop and Server based systems.
Key Criteria
- Experience supporting Windows Server and desktop environments.
- At least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (previously SCCM on premises or Intune in the cloud) deploying general and security patches to Windows desktop and server operating systems using either on-premises or cloud application/patch management tools.
- Experience with application packaging of desktop/server software.
- Experience documenting patching/application deployment processes and user/administrator operating procedures as needed.
- Experience supporting and administering changes to Microsoft infrastructure roles and services including but not limited to DHCP, Active Directory user and group management, DNS, and Group Policy.
Desired Criteria:
- Experience in administering or implementing Microsoft 365 Defender (also known as Advanced Threat Protection).
- Experience administering Citrix XenDesktop environments or updating Citrix or VMWare VDI images.
- Experience in automating common IT and system tasks with PowerShell or Azure based tools (e.g. Azure Automation).
