WOOD WORKING TECHNICIAN - EXPERIENCED WITH EDGE BANDERS/CNC ROUTERS
Stone and Woodworking Industry – FULL-TIME
Visa-sponsored positions are in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

A well-established national company with HQ located in Sydney, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing a variety of machinery for the Stone and Woodworking industries. Their machines have found homes in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and Vietnam. The company is entering an exciting period of growth and business development.
  
YOUR NEW ROLE
Reporting to the Service Manager, there are around 15 technicians all around Australia and New Zealand. You will become an essential part of the team responsible for the preventive maintenance of CNC machining centres, edgebanders, panel saws, and beam saws, as well as installations and breakdown maintenance. Training will be provided, and the technicians have weekly meetings to discuss issues or concerns in an open forum. You will have standard 40-hour workweeks and additional overtime as needed.
  
YOUR PROFILE
  
Your knowledge and experience include the following:
  
  • Previous experience in performing preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with electrical fault-finding skills and the ability to perform diagnostic checks.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to liaise with clients to discuss service requirements.
  • Reliable work ethic.
  • Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment.
  • Flexibility for occasional work away from home. 
  • Advanced level of organisation, detail and accuracy. 
  • High level of computer literacy. 
  • A current driver’s licence.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Sound knowledge of CNC machine technology.
  • CNC operation.
  • Experience in the woodworking industry.
  • Manufacturing or service background.
  • Electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with PLC / Logic Controlled Devices.
