Are you looking for an exciting learning opportunity in the wool industry? This position offers comprehensive training in all aspects of the Wool Brokerage industry whilst being assisted by knowledgeable team leaders. This includes store work, wool marshalling, assisting with wool auctions, working with office and admin staff, and the general day-to-day runnings of the organisation. You will work directly under the Manager and be part of a team of 11 friendly and family-focused staff.
The successful trainee Wool Broker will receive training in all aspects of the Wool Brokering industry, including:
- Receiving
- Marshaling
- Core sampling
- Handling of wool into rehandle
- Wool marketing and valuing
- The possibility of supervising other staff
The ideal candidate for this position should have prior knowledge of Merino sheep and wool, as well as an enthusiastic attitude toward learning more about the wool industry and marketing. It would be highly desirable for the candidate to hold their wool classing certificate and a forklift license. However, it is essential that the candidate possess a valid driver's license and their own means of transportation to get to work.
