We have a permanent opportunity for a Work Group Leader to join our team located at Middlemount.
About the role:
As a Work Group Leader, you will –
- Combine your trade-based skills along with your management skills to effectively lead a team of both field and office-based staff.
- Be accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of field-based construction, maintenance and investigation activities to meet our works plan and customer connection targets.
- Lead organisational change strategies - support, deploy and sustain local operational change initiatives and outcomes whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Remuneration -
- From $139,032 per annum + 12.75% Superannuation for a 9-day fortnight.
- From $157,106 per annum + 12.75% Superannuation for a 10-day fortnight.
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.
Location Incentives -

- Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $15,375 per annum.
- Housing Allowance – up to $14,040 per annum.
- Locality Allowance – up to $2,366 per annum.
- Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments – $10,000 after 2 years of service and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we'll pay you $15,000 at each milestone.
Plus, when you decide it's time for a well-earned break, we'll give you an additional 4 days of annual leave per year to assist with travel to and from your chosen holiday destinations.
And, if you don't currently live in this neck of the woods, we'll also chip in up to $10,000 relocation assistance to make the move just that little bit easier.

About you:
Critical to your success in the role is your:
- Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an:
Electrical Linesperson or
Electrical Fitter Mechanic, or
Electricity Supply Industry Technical Serviceperson. - Qualifications in Management (or relevant to Leadership or Business) or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and skills, or capability to achieve the same.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of and commitment to workplace health and safety and environmental practices relevant to the role of a Work Group Leader.
- Ability to provide effective leadership and people management by actively supporting the management team and conveying all management decisions to the team in a positive manner.
- Proven ability to provide direction, mentoring and coaching team members.
- Demonstrated competence in a relevant technical field, with proven ability to direct and support a team of technical/trade personnel in the safe, efficient and effective delivery of a program of work.
