Are you a dedicated and experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional eager to elevate safety standards in a leading industry?
Harvey Beef is seeking a dynamic WHS Coordinator to join our team full-time based in Harvey, WA.
As a WHS Coordinator, you will lead and inspire a culture of safety and health across our operations. Your role will involve leading as a mentor and coach to our employees, fostering resilience in safe work practices.
You'll maintain a strong onsite presence, building collaborative relationships while developing and implementing our Safety Management System. Your expertise will drive emergency preparedness, risk management, and incident investigation processes, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. By managing our Safety Reporting Platform and overseeing inspections and audits, you'll ensure the highest standards of safety. You'll also play a key role in communicating safety initiatives, maintaining WHS documentation, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years in a Safety Advisor/Coordinator or higher role within the food processing, manufacturing, or a similar industry, demonstrating a solid background in WHS practices.
- Certificate IV in Occupational Safety and Health, Work Health and Safety, or higher, showcasing your formal education and commitment to safety.
- Certification in ICAM, Root Cause Analysis, or a similar incident investigation process, highlighting your capability in thorough and effective incident analysis.
- Current First Aid Certification (HLTAID003 Provide First Aid) or higher.
- A current C class driver’s license, reflecting your readiness to fulfill job-related travel requirements.
- Friendly, flexible, supportive, and personable, with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with others and build rapport effectively.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, enabling you to perform administrative tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure all duties are completed promptly and effectively.
- Experience with HACCP or meat industry processing, adding value with your industry-specific knowledge.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or higher) is desirable.
