About the role
The purpose of this role is to ensure Metro North Hospital and Health Services (Metro North) at STARS has a high quality, safe and sustainable Health Practitioner workforce that meets the healthcare needs of people accessing our services. The role provides leadership and expertise to initiatives designed to enhance Health Practitioner service delivery models, and build workforce capacity, capability and productivity.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Design, implement and evaluate STARS systems to enhance quality and safety of allied health practice, workforce capacity and productivity to improve patient access, outcomes and experiences and provide high value, efficient allied health services.
- Lead strategic workforce planning and facilitate contemporary workforce management across STARS aligned with Allied Health, STARS and MNHHS strategic and operational plan priorities.
- Provide authoritative and accurate advice to senior managers and leaders across the HHS regarding portfolios of the role.
- Influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for and advance Health Practitioner services and the workforce using highly developed engagement, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Apply advanced level of knowledge and skills to support workforce in the delivery of new and redesigned models of care and service improvements through planning, implementation and evaluation of relevant education programs, demonstrating change leadership, advanced facilitation, project management, analytical and performance improvement approaches and by applying highly developed clinical expertise.
