Job description

The Princess Alexandra Adult Mental Health Service are looking for Workforce Development Officer: Therapies Coordinator to join their team. Working out of Woolloongabba, you have the opportunity to lead, facilitate and coordinate the implementation of the therapies program and support workforce capability initiatives with potential cross-sectoral partnerships within the Princess Alexandra Adult Mental Health Service.

About the Role

  • Lead high-level service development and collaborate with senior management, local leadership teams and team leaders to ensure effective cooperation across work units for the therapy program related initiatives to enhance consumer and carer outcomes.
  • Liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team, other relevant services including mental health services, as well as consumers, their families and other health professionals from different disciplines, students, and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks to the project/s and initiate and lead discussions with key stakeholders on critical issues and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide high level and timely advice on the resolution of emergent issues that may require innovative and targeted responses including the development of models of care, briefs, reports and correspondence to management.
