Local Gov seeking Workforce Planning Officer | ASAP Start until 28 April 23 | $57.47 p/h + Super | Bris CBD

Your new company
Hays is assisting a local government client who has a short term opportunity available for an experienced candidate to support a workforce planning initiative. This is a short term contract opportunity commencing asap until 28 April 2023.

Your new role
This role will source, retrieve and provide meaningful, accurate and relevant data and analysis to enable informed decision making in managing current and future workforce and talent management strategies. This role will also identify, analyse and translate current and future workforce gaps and forecasts, disputers, market trends, and environmental scans and scenario planning.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Lead and role model customer-focused behaviour to ensure a positive customer experience
Deliver high quality analytical workforce management and forecasting; demand/supply analysis, external/environmental scans, strategic workforce modelling, future scenario planning with the ability to represent data in a visual and interactive format (charts, dashboards etc).
Provide research on emerging workforce needs, disputers, market trends and impacts to current and future workforce gaps and requirements
Assist with the development of strategic and operational business cases by exploring, identifying, analysing, and documenting workforce and talent management benefits, risks, cost, value for money and return on investment
Translate agreed business requirements, functional requirements and solution outcomes into formal business cases that clearly demonstrate the value propositions of the recommended solutions
Develop reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making

What you'll need to succeed

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including researching, writing, editing, proof reading and presenting for a range of communication platforms, projects and audiences
Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance and excellence
Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to utilise business process improvement methodologies
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of detailed reports using sophisticated spreadsheets, database and reporting solutions
Demonstrated ability to provide technical analysis to interpret data to assess business performance, recognise trends, identify issues and develop practical options for their resolution
Proven ability to work under pressure, show initiative, meet deadlines and priorities and achieve outcomes in a complex environment across multiple projects
Understanding of ANZCO hierarchy mapping, including position description content and knowledge to map internal local government designations to external market role/job families
Understanding of how to research, aggregate and format external benchmarking
Proof reading and content formatting abilities
Well -developed skills in Microsoft Office 365 (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), SharePoint design and maintenance and internet searching
