ABOUT THE ROLE
The Facilities Management Planner (FMP) is is required to plan labour resources, equipment and materials to complete repair or maintenance works associated with electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, refrigeration, and other related systems in all required locations.
This key role is responsible for planning and coordinating to deliver the highest levels of service in relation to the contracted responsibilities at Coronado Curragh Pty Ltd (CCPL) site and town facilities.
The FMP is responsible for procuring and expediting materials and creating detailed plans, schedules and forecasts for the site and town teams to aid in delivery on the contracted services at the levels that meet or exceed client expectations. Where necessary, they will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading the team from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, a requirement to manage daily operations, as well as several moving project parts simultaneously, and the ability to be multi skilled and highly adaptable.
This role seeks to improve efficiency, workforce productivity and work quality, by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts and material, equipment and access restraints.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Developing preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring required parts and materials are available for completion of planned maintenance activities
2. Identify innovative ways to improve the efficiency of service delivery and customer satisfaction
3. Follow up on warranty items and negotiation of specific warranty considerations
4. Developing and capturing key performance indicators and reports as required
5. Management of software systems related to the work planning function inclusive of data entry and management
6. Maintaining stock holdings at or above agreed minimum levels and monitoring on a daily and weekly basis to reconcile stock used vs stock claimed
7. Updating the stock register as materials are used and advising of any upcoming equipment or tooling requirements
8. Procuring and expediting materials and equipment as required to complete the works and within company procurement limits
9. Escalating any material supply issues to the FMC and/or Contract Manager
10. Using data for budgeting and equipment/component replacement
11. Reviewing and participating in vendor/contractor management
12. Establishing, maintaining, and improving maintenance planning & scheduling business flow processes
13. Maintaining records of service cycles and other maintenance activities
14. Assisting in development of maintenance budgets and develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance activities
15. Working closely with Management, developing required parts and material availability and appropriate inventory controls
16. Identifying resource shortages in advance, that may impact the delivery of the scope under the contract
17. Accurate record keeping of maintenance history
18. Following all safety regulations and procedures
19. Preparing maintenance procedures and reviewing and updating as required
20. Monitoring and maintaining the Training Needs Analysis Matrix for the team as well as the shift skills needs analysis matrix to ensure adequate coverage
Qualifications & Experience:
• Trade qualification preferred
• Current Manual Drivers licence
• Familiarity with Asset Management and Australian Standard Building Codes
Qualifications - Desired
• Advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of equipment terminology and use of parts/service manuals
• Sound and correct understanding of equipment reliability concept
• Solid appreciation of risk management strategy and practices related to facilities and critical equipment
• Solid appreciation of quality management methods and practices related to plant and equipment reliability
