About the role
As the Workforce Systems Lead, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s People & Integrity Group.
You are responsible for the streamlined management, strategic oversight, and administration of V/Lines HRIS and supporting Workforce Systems. The role requires enhanced expertise to make recommendations and enable seamless integrations, configuration and driving solution optimisation.
The role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organisation people and position structures within the systems and leads regular audits to ensure compliance. Key to this role is the provision of support and guidance within the People & Integrity and cross function teams. Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data, correct configurations, leading system updates and coordination of user access.
About you
To be successful in this role you are a problem solver and have the ability to deal with complex and confidential issues with integrity and good judgement, you will be extremely organised able to prioritise and work with conflicting deadlines.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
· Sound knowledge of Workforce Systems, solutions, processes and integration platforms with ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
· Working knowledge of HRIS i.e JD Edwards, Oracle, Taleo, SharePoint, PowerBI, Org Publisher desirable.
· High level conceptual, analytical, data management and problem-solving skills to identify issues and deliver appropriate solutions.
· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with ability to present and prepare reports on complex issues.
· Identifying and defining time and accuracy efficiencies by modifying current processes i.e. BAU, processing and ad hoc reporting
· Ability to represent WorkForce System team and the broader P&I team at meetings and project workshops that relate to risk, contingency management and governance in relation to impacts on our systems.
· Demonstrated experience with HRIS or similar system knowledge with Tertiary qualification in IT, HR or similar business-related discipline (advantageous)
· Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019 Current employees are expected to remain in their role for a minimum of 12 months before applying to new positions within V/Line.
