The position will initially be in the home office with regular trips the jobsite before transitioning to a site-based role.

About the Role: As Workpack Engineer, you will work collaboratively with engineering, construction and project controls across multiple disciplines to oversee the scoping, sequencing, and creation of Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and Installation
Work Packages (IWPs) for the Project. The individual will also facilitate planning discussions, constraint management, readiness reviews and other planning activities as part of the Project’s Advanced Work Packaging process.
Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing and participating in the scoping, sequencing and creation of Work Packages. Maintaining
Work Package data in Bechtel’s systems and updating as required. Providing support in creation and updating of the Level 3 / 4 schedule, 90-day work front analysis, and 3-week lookahead. Attending progress meetings and maintaining effective interface with Bechtel, Client and Sub-contractor stakeholders to ensure
Work Packages and Advance Work Packaging efforts are effectively delivered on the Project. Coordinating with project controls team, planners, other stakeholder of the project and ensure

You Bring: Degree in Construction, Engineering, or other technical discipline and 4 years of related experience in construction, engineering or project controls, OR in lieu of a degree, 8 years of progressive, directly related experience. Construction experience on a mining, port or rail construction site, especially in Western Australia is preferred. Knowledge of construction activities as relates to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration with prior experience in work scope packaging or workface planning.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and technical database applications. Experience using 3D Model, Teamworks/Setroute database, Primavera P6, DSCS, and Bechtel construction procedures is preferred. Proficient in reading drawings, interpreting design, specifications, and industry standards and codes.
Specialist knowledge in structural, mechanical, piping, or civil disciplines. Working Rights…
