About the role
McAuley College is looking for a suitably qualified or experienced person for the role of School Officer - Workplace Health and Safety (Level 4).As part of the role, it is a requirement that the successful applicant have the required Certificate IV qualification or be prepared to undertake this additional study, supported by the College.
The successful applicant should have proven experience that demonstrates the following attributes:
- An ability to plan and manage time to complete required tasks, independently, whilst maintaining clear communication with relevant line manager
- Confidence using IT Systems and the Microsoft Office 365 package to manage tasks and document compliance
- Ability to multi-task, to assist in the day to day running of the College, and forward plan using the calendar
- Initiative and problem-solving skills to work successfully as part of a dynamic team with a degree of self-direction and motivation
- In addition to Workplace Health and Safety, the successful person will need the skills to operate the College Front Reception, as they will work two of their allocated days on this desk
In additional to the Certificate IV requirement, the School OfficerWorkplace Health and Safety will need to complete a number of mandatory training modules prior to commencing. A Working with Children Blue Card will also be required.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
