THE OPPORTUNITY
The Works Supervisor is a challenging and rewarding role for an organised, self-motivated and experienced individual. The Works Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day to day resources required to deliver the works programme. This includes the pre-planning of two week schedules for crews and contractors, sourcing and supervision of required resources including plant, labour and materials as well customer liaison.
In this role you are responsible for delivering major infrastructure projects that benefit our community now and into the future, in line with the annual works program.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver projects for the benefit of our community as well a coordinate the maintenance and construction Programme
- Liaise with stakeholders and public regarding projects and programmes
- Prepare project estimates and management system documents based on plans, specifications and industry standards
- Provide emergency response assistance
ABOUT YOU
You have a passion for your profession and are dedicated to delivering projects of a high standard, on time and to budget. You are an experienced supervisor, who has demonstrated strengths in leadership and the coordination of teams of different disciplines in a infrastructure environment.
You are a team player who continually shows positive leadership and looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or related discipline
- General Construction Induction card and Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan ticket
- Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft office programs, including email
- Ability to effectively supervise staff and contribute to staff development
- Current NSW Class C (Car) Drivers Licence
