About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and experienced
Cruise Supervisor to join our team at
Journey Beyond Cruise Sydney. This is a full-time position with an immediate start. The
Cruise Supervisor is a hands-on role that would be perfect for hospitality professionals looking to lead a team in a premium dining space on a luxury vessel in Sydney Harbour.Working to support the Cruise Director, the
Cruise Supervisor plays a key role in achieving the company mission of providing our guests with outstanding customer service, quality products and an unparalleled experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate and proud of the food and service they deliver and be willing to go above and beyond for our guests. You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude and have the flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays.A standard working day shall consist of up to 12 working hours, within the hours of 07:00hrs and 00:00hrs. Shifts commence and finish at Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont.
RequirementsAbout You- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
- NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (essential)
- Provide First Aid (essential)
- Food Safety/Handling certificate (Not required, but an advantage)
- Cert IV in Hospitality & Tourism or equivalent (Not required, but an advantage)
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong personal presentation skills
- Excellent customer service skills, dedication to meeting the expectations of all external and internal customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- People leadership skills; the ability to provide positive direction to others and actively provide constructive feedback in order to develop & motivate others
- The ability to thrive during pressure situations and always keep composure
- Reliable, self-motivated and proactive
- A cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity to the welfare of others
- Have the necessary working entitlements to work in Australia
- Must not be affected by sea sickness
