The role
With the expansion of our business, OnSpec are seeking a Workshop Assistant to safely and competently assist all workshop operations at the OnSpec DAQ Chinchilla Facility.
This role will be responsible for (but not limited to): sorting and inspecting incoming and outgoing goods, pressure testing, assisting in job preparation and kit servicing, and maintaining a tidy workshop.
Interest is encouraged from individuals who have relevant experience within the oil and gas industry, however it is not essential.
The ideal candidate will be able to
- Work in a team, safely
- Willing to understand basic supply chain principles
- Produce quality work in a safe manner
- Participate in morning toolbox meetings
- Undertake daily workshop operations under the direction of the Operations Manager
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures for routine processes
- Assist in the preparation of field jobs
- Assist in the compliance and preparation for annual ISO audits
This position will be hands on, based in Chinchilla
To be successful
The successful candidate will have
- Manual drivers Licence (essential);
- MR or higher Truck licence (or willingness to obtain);
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Possess a positive mental attitude
