Our Workshop Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining exceptional standards of service. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, coordinating schedules, and ensuring timely completion of work.
Work with the best and most reliable brand, 15+ qualified Toyota Technicians and the very best and dedicated apprentices.
State of the art workshop and facilities. An air-conditioned workshop control tower with a 360 degree view of the workshop will ensure you have the best vantage point to perform your role. Spare parts and pre-delivery co-ordinator are all within 2 metres to ensure you can achieve maximum time efficiencies. Constant support and training will be provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Plan and allocate work to technicians, ensuring optimal use of resources and efficient workflow.
- Monitor and track progress on vehicle repairs, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Train and mentor workshop staff to enhance their technical skills and efficiency with the use of Toyota Training Portal.
- Collaborate with the Service Advisor team, to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the Toyota for Life Dealer Standards within the workshop.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify equipment or facility maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or maintenance as required.
- Uphold and enforce health and safety protocols within the workshop to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
- Mentor and guide our apprentices to reach their full potential
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to prioritise and multitask effectively.
- Solid understanding of vehicle repairs and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in using workshop management software and other relevant tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members and customers.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Current Police Check
