AddressLocal workshop in Gladstone area looking for a skilled workshop Machinist Full Time to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. The Machinist will need to have an eye for detail, they must also have knowledge of mathematic and mechanics as well as respect for safety.
Machinist responsibilities include:
- Reviewing drawings, or instructions to understand specifications.
- Take measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Check quality to ensure consistency with specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualifications with trade experience.
- Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated machines.
- Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
- Proficient in math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
