About the role
We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have a new opportunity for a Workshop Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our Mount Isa Depot.
You will be assisting our Workshop Mechanics and Technicians with general housekeeping, preparing and maintaining maintenance documentation and scheduling maintenance for fleet light vehicles, heavy vehicles and plant and equipment.

As such, Orica will offer the opportunity to complete formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic Trade to our new Workshop Maintenance Assistant if required.
The roster will be Monday to Friday, 10 hour days with options for overtime. Commencing salary will be $110,000 + 5% Bonus per annum.
What you will bring
- A high degree of mechanical aptitude and pride in completing jobs to a high standard;
- Current/previous workshop experience would be highly regarded;
- A Current motor vehicle licence is essential;
- A Forklift and/or Heavy Vehicle Licence would be advantageous;
- An Explosive Security Licence, or the ability to obtain one - to pass a criminal history check.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol.
