Based in Perth, the role of an Operations Supervisor is to coordinate, prioritise and commission the work performed by our field engineers and technicians by addressing all workshop requirements and ensuring an effective workflow within the team.
About You
Typically, you come from a strong safety-oriented mining background, have prior experience in mobile plant equipment and have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in your previous supervisory roles. You have fostered and maintained strong employee, management and client relationships through effective communication and have succeeded in meeting deadlines by balancing competing priorities.
Key Selection Criteria
The essentials
- Hold an Australian recognized Mechanical/Auto Electrical qualification and experience with mobile plant maintenance in a civil or mining setting.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Front Line Management.
- Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to safety.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under the pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Collaborative approach to managing needs of internal vs external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
- Strong Computer Literacy Skills
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
Key Deliverables
- Exhibit best practice leadership techniques and foster a good team environment where team members can reach their full potential.
- Liaise with the client and develop a good professional relationship while on site.
- Ensure that all client Protocols and Safety Standards are met and required documentation is updated and signed as needed.
- Execute projects within allocated time frames, documenting any variations and having the client sign for them.
- Verify that all drawings are Red Lined and sent to the Project Team to be converted to As Built drawings and provide feedback to the Project Team regarding process improvements.
