Workshop Manager

Workshop manager.

Boardman engineering is a locally owned and operated General fabrication, heavy vehicle transport repair and tarping company based in Moolap, we require an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team. 

We have a large workshop, a great team with vast skill sets, and constant flow of work. This key position is to oversee all activity relating to the workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing workshop staff.
• Coordinating the assignment of workshop staff to maintenance, repairs and fabrication work along side the workshop foreman.
• Entering and completing invoices on Xero, with additional office support.
• Ordering parts and materials.
• Liaising with customers in person and on the phone.
• Working alongside workshop foreman to complete tasks.
•  Ensuring that all WH&S is adhered to.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Experience in workshop management. 
• Knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and fabrication.
• Boilermaker, fitter or diesel mechanic by trade.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge around WH&S.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Be willing to learn or know how to operate XERO accounting.
• Admin and computer skills. 
• Be able to do basic quotations.
