The Dirt Off Road Campers is a multi-award-winning Off Road Caravan Retailer located in Mount Barker, the SA Dealer for Pioneer Campers, Kimberley Kampers, Track Trailer, and Lifestyle Campers.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Workshop Service Technician to join our team. Working with the Team Leader, your role will include working on premium Australian-made campers and Kimberley Motorhomes. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your mechanical aptitude, fulfilling this varied and stimulating role.
Applicants will possess the following Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in a similar role undertaking workshop servicing and repairs of caravans and/or motorhomes, working independently.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot issues in a logical sequence.
- Experience with 12V applications including charging systems, solar, Lithium batteries, Simarine/Victron/Redarc management systems and all electronics.
- Technology skills to capture photos/videos of issues and transfer to appropriate media
- Attention to detail, recording activities completed, time, and parts used.
- Good communication skills to work with customers and internal/external stakeholders to gather requirements/issues, request parts, follow processes and provide technical assistance.
- Time management skills and an ability to prioritise important tasks.
- Installing trailer brake controllers/Anderson plugs, Diesel Heaters and more not essential but highly regarded. A strong safety mindset.
- Current driver’s license and experience towing trailers/caravans.
- Passion for four-wheel driving and off-grid camping.
- A strong customer service work ethic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing Off Road Caravans/motorhomes and related activities
- Pre-delivery of new caravans/motorhomes.
- Completing tasks efficiently
- Customer support with roadside troubleshooting over the phone
- Adhering to WHS procedures.
- Keeping the workshop clean and tidy.
- Caring for and looking after all workshop tools and equipment.
