Our client is Australian owned, specialising in fluid transfer solutions through mobile onsite service and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings.
Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Workshop Trades Assistant. Within this role you will maintain the warehouse, workshop and showroom standards. You will ensure correct levels of stock and despatch order as required. Deliver consistent, accurate & high-quality service to our customers. The successful candidate will be provided with full product and job training and the opportunity to upskill to a Technician.
The Role:
- Receiving, shipping, storing and packing stock in the warehouse.
- Assist with and work towards stock management including stock takes/analysis in conjunction with Operations Manager
- Assist with manufacturing of hose assemblies under supervision of the Operations Manager
- Maintain customer records with all necessary information regarding orders, quotes and product information
- Attend all assigned service calls
- Upselling of service and products whilst on customer service calls
- General housekeeping of workshop
- Ensure all policy, procedures and safety requirements are adhered to at all times
What we're looking for:
- Warehouse or mechanical experience
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
- A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Desire to be a team player
- Ability to arrange and plan priorities
- Anticipate problems and be pro-active in finding solutions
- Strong understanding of customer service
- Have an understanding of OHS and Safe Work Practices
- Ability to carry out instructions
- Medically fit for the task
- Be well presented and groomed
- Customer service focused with the ability to build client relationships
Benefits:
- Full-time permanent role (Monday to Friday 7.30am-4pm - 40 hour week. You will also be rostered half a day on a Saturday once trained and competent).
- $28-$30 per hour + super + opportunity for overtime
