We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Service Manager to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of quoting, repair times and sourcing spare parts and be someone who can lead, manage, and support our team of mechanics, apprentices, and service staff. This is a busy role for a well organised and driven person. Experience in a similar role is essential as is the ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
As the Service Manager you will spearhead service provision, oversee customer relationship management, drive operational excellence, and foster continuous improvement within the Service Department. Adaptability in navigating a dynamic environment is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Service Invoicing and Operations: Take an active, hands-on approach in overseeing and streamlining invoicing processes to enhance both operational efficiency and cash flow optimisation. Maintain daily invoicing targets.
• Elevate Customer Satisfaction: Cultivate a culture centered around customers by ensuring service advisors and technicians consistently deliver exceptional customer service. Address customer concerns proactively and uphold open communication with clients at every stage of the service process.
• Performance Metrics: Introduce and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and enhance the performance, efficiency, and profitability of the service department.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs for the service team and coordinate relevant training programs to enhance technical skills and customer service capabilities.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the service department budget, ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining high-quality service standards.
