Your new role:
Reporting directly to the Yard Manager, you'll assist in leading all day-to-day yard operations. As a dynamic leader, you'll champion a safe and efficient work environment, overseeing every aspect to ensure top-notch quality and consistency. Responsibilities:
- Frontline management of all yard operators, including ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements
- Ensure quality practices are adhered to, in line with set KPI’s and recommending continuous improvements to the Yard Manager.
- Ensuring production targets are met in line with KPI’s and analysing/documenting production data, recommending ways to improve yields in consultation with Yard Manager
- Monitor quality of material received, to ensure correct classification and or deductions as required.
- Operate machinery as required from time to time.
- Driving cultural change across your area of influence and ensuring a high level of employee engagement through communication and exceptional leadership.
