To support our growth focused approach, We are currently seeking an experiencedYard Supervisor to join our team in Lonsdale Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt, promote and demand a Safety-First approach.
- Embody the Yes We Can ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities.
- Accountable for managing the daily operations of the Branch logistics and yard operations.
- Effective and efficient management of the customer service (delivery) operation (including Bulk LPG)
- Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement for deliveries.
- Handheld management and implementation.
- Ensure co-ordination of training is provided for current and future drivers and yard staff to the required standards.
- Ensure all staff, visitors and contractors operate within Supagas safety rules including Permit To Work (PTW) requirements.
- Analyse skills and knowledge required for each role to develop job descriptions and task lists.
- Conduct regular tool box meetings.
- Attend and be prepared for management meetings as required.
- Ensure that the Safety of staff, customers and the Public is maintained at all times.
- Plan, create and manage the allocated delivery schedule, assign resources to the schedule, monitor and track progress of deliveries according to schedule created.
- Other tasks as required from time to time.
Candidates must possess:
- Must have a valid forklift license.
- MR license is preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 5 year 'experience in a similar role.
- Previous gas industry experience advantageous but not essential.
- Intermediate level of computer skills is essential (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Proven leadership skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and drive to promote continual improvement.
- Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Highly motivated with a flexible “can do” attitude.
- The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
