Yardman/Lpg Cylinder Filler/Relief Delivery Driver

KRB Logistics Resources, specialists in materials management and logistics, who are locally owned and operated, are currently seeking to fill the position of Yardman/LPG gas Filler/Relief Delivery Driver.

The Yardman/CylinderFiller/Relief driver is an important link in the company supply chain for maintaining standards of warehousing our customers products and delivery of such to our Customers. Our customer rely on our accuracy and efficiently and so our approach to stock management activity is focussed on making good internal decisions and promoting accuracy from our team at all times.

The job holder is responsible for the efficient management of stocks levels of filled cylinders. The position requires on time filling targets are kept and Customer requirements are met. The ability to work under pressure and communicate at all levels is extremely important as is the ability to work as part of a team to enhance our service to our customers.

The job holder will be expected to work outside of normal hours on occasions in order to meet customer requirements.

The job holder must have an enthusiasm for the task in hand and a willingness to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

The job holder will work in a safe and responsible manner. They will wear and use the correct personal protective equipment where and when laid down by the company and will follow company health and safety and environmental procedures and reporting guidelines.

The job holder will be expected to help with other work within the organisation as and when required.

The job-holder will be required to train on any computer software as designated by the company.The job holder is responsible for ensuring that goods received into or sent out from the Company are in good condition and correspond with the correct paperwork to ensure accurate stocks/records are held and customer deliveries are despatched on a right first time basis.

Goods In

Receive goods into the company. Ensuring all paperwork is correct and goods received are in good order, assisting admin staff to ensure that accurate stocks are held on site. Placement of Goods into correct storage location.

Goods Out

Ensure that customer orders are picked and despatched accurately using the appropriate paperwork. Load these orders onto the relevant vehicles in a safe and responsible manner in order to ensure that deliveries are made to the customer on a right first time basis.

Store Keeping

Ensure a FIFO stock rotation system is operated, keep the stores in a clean and safe working condition and store goods in the right location in order to maximise sales and minimise waste.

Stock Checks

Support our PI team by carrying out physical stock checks when necessary and maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the Gas yard and filling sustain.

Forklift Trucks

Operate forklift trucks for loading and unloading goods and storing in racking following operator safety checks and correct operation to ensure all goods are stored correctly and safely. Undertake any training required that relates to the driving of FLT’s.

Company Vehicles

Deliver to customers when required, completing checks and vehicle maintenance to meet legislative requirements and satisfy customer deliveries on a right first time basis.

Housekeeping

Maintain the gas yard and filling station and site to a safe and clean standard to ensure ease of availability of stock, keep the site clean and tidy to ensure safe working practices and to allow the site to function efficiently and comply with safety legislation.

Transport Activities

Assist in the day to day running of the transport administration process to ensure that goods are despatched to the carrier/customer on a right first time basis.

Assisting Activities

Whilst the primary duties will be cylinder filling and general yard duties the job holder will be expected to help with other work within the company as and when required.This will include LPG Cylinder deliveries, LPG depot hand, Other Commodities delivery and labour activities as required and directed. The successful applicant must currently hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (with 3 years experience) and current forklift ticket to join our team for immediate start.  If you believe you have the following, we want to hear from you:

- Good driving history i.e. no current drink driving offences, no current mobile phone offences and no more than 1 to 2, I point demerit offences. A current 3 year driving history must be produced at a interview)

- Providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

- You will need to be able to talk and connect with a variety of people
