Yarra City Council’s Aged and Disability Services Branch has a proud history in providing a comprehensive range of services to our community.
Willowview Centre, within the Aged and Disability branch, provides Social Support Group service under Commonwealth Home Support Programs (CHSP). The Centre currently has an opportunity for a dynamic and energetic person to join our team in providing meaningful, appropriate, and innovative social activities for participants in the Centre.
The position is 18.5 hours per week working across 3 days, set hours. The position works under instruction from the Active Living Leader and reports to the Coordinator Willowview.
The key responsibilities and duties include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of stimulating culturally sensitive activities to help maintain the physical, intellectual, psychological, social and emotional wellbeing of clients attending the Centre.
- Prepare the Centre morning set-up on the daily basis and clean up and pack down at the end of the day.
- Support clients’ participations during program time and provide assistance and support to encourage their participations and social interactions with others
- Assist and support clients’ safety and wellbeing within the centre. Tasks may include assisting with safety movements within, out and around the centre, and for personal care support when required.
- Responsible for meal preparations, food safety recording food and adhering to safety requirements and standards. This position also require key tasks in resourcing centre grocery supplies.
- Well-developed and efficient administration and organisational skills for operating client attendance and entering client notes.
- Ensure client records comply with privacy principles.
