Do you have excellent customer service skills? Do you like variety and enjoy working with a diverse cross-section of the community?
As a Venues and Events Officer, you will be part of a team that supports the delivery of a wide range of events in City of Yarra community spaces, libraries and town halls. You will provide venue support for community and civic events and celebrations, weddings, parties, musical performances, interval meetings and conferences and other projects.
The Venues and Events Unit is seeking motivated and enthusiastic people, who are committed to providing the best customer service and who are pivotal to facilitating and enabling the delivery of top notch events.
To be successful you will need to have:
- Demonstrated event and/or hospitality experience
- Ability to work and contribute to a team environment, with outstanding communication and customer service skills
- A good problem solver with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Intermediate knowledge in setup and operation of AV equipment
- Weekend and weeknight availability is essential
