Event Support Officer
Tenure: Full Time - Fixed Term (6 months July 2024 to January 2025)
Location: Echuca
Remuneration: $91,596 to $99,839 pa + superannuation
The Event Support Officer will be the key point of contact for event organisations and will be required to establish positive and supportive relationships between event organisations and Council.
The Event Support Officer will be responsible for assisting event organisers to understand their compliance obligations, assist with the attraction of new events and the growth of existing events and support and coordinator event evaluations. The role is also responsible for assisting in the delivery of council run and civic events and coordinating the annual township decoration programs.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Qualifications or significant experience in Tourism, Event Administration, Communications or similar discipline.
- Experience and competence in the operation of computer software programs including spreadsheets and databases.
- An understanding of the local tourism and events market.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
