As a Senior WHS and Compliance Advisor at DHL, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure our warehouse, and transport operations run smoothly and our employees are working within safe conditions. Within this role you will:
- Lead dedicated safety engagement across customer operations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding throughout the operational environment, and up to date training of WHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure alignment and implementation of current WHS legislative requirements.
- Lead internal site specific Safety audits, to maintain safe and compliant operations.
- Ensure all operational specific Work Health & Safety related documentation are reviewed & current.
- Facilitate safety risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and recording of incidents.
- Responding to audit findings by reporting and following up major issues and repairs.
This is a fully site based role.
You will have the following qualities and qualifications
- Cert 4 in OHS.
- Minimum 3 years Work, Health and Safety experience (ideally in 3PL or logistics).
- Experience in risk assessment and implementation of controls.
- Sound knowledge and working experience with Heavy Vehicle National Law.
- Working knowledge of industry specific WH&S legislation, standards & applicable Codes of Practices.
- Management System Auditing auditing accreditation is highly desired.
- Tertiary qualification in health sciences / human movement / sport science essential.
- Current Drivers License.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
