About the role: 

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate tutor to teach a 10-day introduction to game design and development using Unity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and inspire the next generation of game developers. The course is delivered one day per week over 10 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Tutor students the fundamentals of game design principles, including gameplay mechanics, level design, and user interface
• Demonstrate how to use Unity's tools and features effectively for Game Development projects
• Guide students in implementing game mechanics, scripting interactions, and optimising performance
• Introduce students to C# programming
• Cover topics such as UI/UX design, player input controls, audio integration and game optimisation techniques
• Provide hands-on experience with debugging and testing

About you:   

• Proficiency in Unity game engine, C# programming, and Game Development concepts
• Experience in game design, level design, scripting, and gameplay mechanics
• Familiarity with Game Development tools, asset creation, and optimisation techniques
• Proven experience in game design and development, with a focus on Unity
• Familiarity with game art, animation, sound design, and other aspects of game production
