The Kaat Koort n Horizons Multi-sports Program (KKnH Multisports) is a community program for Aboriginal and other vulnerable children and young people aged 4 - 17 years, which is aimed at building the capacity of young people in the Perth north-east Metropolitan area. The program engages, retains and supports vulnerable children, young people and their families in a range of sporting, active recreation and healthy lifestyle activities, which encourage and improve attendance at school, improve self-esteem and resilience and encourage a purposeful and healthy way of life. The role of the Youth Development and Multisports Officer is to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate program activities consistent with the multi-sports program contracts.
This includes providing program participants, volunteers and young people aged 14 – 30 years in leadership development roles (known as Peer Ambassadors) with effective and regular guidance, support, development, education and learning opportunities.
