Our youth centres are the heart of PCYC, this is where lives are changed and memories are made.  An amazing opportunity has arisen for passionate and dedicated Youth Engagement Officers to join our Geraldton PCYC Drive to the Future program, on a casual basis.
With a vision and purpose of changing young people’s lives, we are all about empowering young people to reach their full potential and for our centres to be thriving and welcoming hubs within their respective communities.
The PCYC Drive to the Future Program ensures that more young drivers are safe and qualified to drive, you will be supervising the young people whilst they complete their driving hours.
Our Youth Engagement Officers support PCYC staff to facilitate all aspects associated with service delivery. This includes supporting the planning, delivery and facilitating, monitoring and evaluation of programs and activities all within a safe and welcoming environment to ensure young people receive opportunities to reach their full potential.

  About you:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, including their families.
  • Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander young people and have a good understanding of the issues facing First Nations people
  • Passionate about re-engaging young people through building positive professional relationships and utilising a strengths based, person centred, trauma aware, solutions focussed approach
  • Ability to work with young people experiencing a wide range of issues including but not limited to AOD, behavioural, mental health and assist in identifying appropriate referral pathways.
  • An understanding of youth work code of ethics
  • Have held a current and valid Driver's Licence for at least 4 years
  • Possess or willing to obtain National Police Clearance, Working with Children and drivers licence
