Youth Justice Services works with young people who offend and their families to address the underlying causes that drive offending to deliver the best outcomes for young people, their families and their communities. Youth Justice Services is a multi-disciplinary team working to provide an evidenced based responsive service to young people and their families when they come into contact with the Youth Justice system.

As a Youth Justice Officer (YJO) you will report to the Team Leader and operate as part of the Regional or Metropolitan Centre case management team. You will be responsible for supervising young people in the community who are involved, or at risk of being involved in the justice system, by providing advice and assessment reports to courts and releasing authorities.
No degree is required for this role and training will be provided.

Can you build rapport with people of various ages and backgrounds in a culturally appropriate manner?
Are you motivated and committed to work with people from a wide range of challenging situations and help them achieve their personal goals?
Can you work as part of a team, develop case management plans, assessment reports and provide advice to the Court and releasing authorities?
