These positions present an opportunity to undertake innovative and exciting work with a focus on early intervention in the treatment of Mental Health issues in young people.
About the Role:
As a Youth Mental Health Clinician, you will be an integral part of our Youth Services team, providing prompt assessment and therapeutic services to individuals aged 16 to 25 with serious Mental Health concerns within the defined referral criteria.
Joining the Youth Mental Health Stream you will provide assessment and therapeutic interventions to young people with serious Mental Health problems. The role will involve case management/care coordination and delivering a range of other clinical activities. These will include psychosocial and Mental Health assessments, risk assessment, care planning, clinical reviews, and transfer of care planning consistent with the Youth Model of Service Delivery . This may include being part of therapeutic group programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking care coordination within the Youth Service framework.
- Delivering a range of clinical activities, including care planning, clinical review, psychosocial assessment, and Mental Health Assessments, consistent with the Youth model of Service Delivery.
- Providing clinical services to consumers requiring regular review and follow-up to enhance functioning and community tenure.
- Collaborating with youth consumers, families/carers to maximise wellbeing, stabilise Mental Health, and build capacity for self-management, enabling maintenance of community tenure.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration with the appropriate professional body.
- Demonstrated experience in providing Mental Health services to young individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
