Youth Program & Development Officer
- Salary Range Band 6 $93,459- $101,873 plus 11% Super (pro rata)
- Part Time (0.6 EFT), Permanent Role
- Located at Bubup Nairm Family Services & other locations throughout the municipality - flexible working arrangements possible.
About the Organisation
The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses, and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role
The key objectives of this role are to;
- Develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate youth engagement programs.
- Seek and lead partnership opportunities across the community to support program development and delivery.
- Promote Youth Programs and increase youth participation.
Duties:
- Ensure best practice in youth and community engagement and on behalf of Council.
- Safely work within family and youth friendly approaches to ensure a clear understanding of their needs, trends and engagement opportunities for children, young people, and families.
- Develop and implement program plans based on the needs of the local community.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation processes for Youth Programs. Seek to improve on service delivery and ensure adaptability to address emerging community trends.
- Work collaboratively and responsively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in program development and facilitation, analysis of service data and youth consultation.
- Understanding of child development and the use of a strengths-based approach to support program/service development.
- Experience with youth engagement and partnership building.
- Experience with Youth Program evaluation and continuous improvement.
