- Student Wellbeing & Every Family Officer
- Youth Support Officer
The roles would be perfect for professionals/graduates or soon to be graduates across the Social/Human Services/Education sector.
About the Student Wellbeing & Every Family Officer:
- Equip children with skills for learning, positive behaviour, and social relationships.
- Deliver social skills programs in response to specific needs.
- Improve awareness of positive parenting, parenting issues and childhood development.
- Engage parents in positive parenting activities, increasing knowledge and skills, creating opportunities for behaviour change and increasing social support within communities.
This role may be adapted from full-time to part-time (0.8) to fit the right candidate.
About the Youth Support Officer:
Working with young people you will effectively engage, coordinate support and provide interventions for children and young people regarding a wide range of social, school, family and emotional issues impacting engagement and working to improve transitions. This role provides wide variety of scope, working towards social outcomes for children and youth across the following domains:
- Education
- Health and Well-being
- Life and Living skills
- Social Inclusion and Participation
- Relationships
- Transitioning to Independence
About you: Mandatory Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in a related social/human services/allied health/education field
- Experience in working with children and families.
- A current QLD Driver’s License.
- Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card registration).
- Strong computer competency across Microsoft applications
About you: Desirable Skills and Experience
- A high level of cultural awareness.
- Personal qualities of empathy, imagination, innovation, resilience and optimism.
- Confidently interact, motivate and connect with children, young people and families.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and resolve conflict effectively.
- Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Group facilitation skills.
- Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with school staff and community stakeholders.
