Your next role
Working alongside a dedicated program staff, you will be responsible for providing support services to youth who are showing early signs of disengagement. Working with a maximum class size, you will:
- Act as a role model within a classroom-style environment
- Provide support to help young people remain focused on re-engagement into school life
- Identify and support young people’s educational needs and goals
- Provide individual and/or group life skills coaching in areas such as self-care, life skills, social / cultural issues etc
- Support the engagement of young people from various backgrounds into appropriate community activities and relevant services through appropriate assessment
- Ensure mandatory reporting in line with legislative requirements

Are you a passionate person, as well as:
- Do you have prior experience working with disadvantaged young people within a social worker, mediation, or conflict resolution capacity?
- Do you have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Criminal History check?
- Do you have Qualification/s in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Development or a related discipline?
- Do you have excellent communication skills and proven ability to engage with young people facing barriers?
- Do you have prior experience working with young people with behavioural issues, who are experiencing poor mental health, homelessness, drug and alcohol dependency or family conflict?
