For nearly 20 years, HenderCare has been a leading service provider in South Australia, championing the care and well-being of kids in out-of-home residential care placements.

We're excited because we're on our way up to sunny Queensland with lots of opportunities to join the team and establish our footprint in the Moreton Bay Council/Greater Brisbane.

You'll be supported by dedicated management with over 20 years of industry experience, who will collaborate with you to build a dedicated QLD team to support young people.

So, what does an Out of Home Care Worker do?

  • Provide emotional support and guidance via a therapeutic model of care
  • Support a child/young person's well-being and development
  • Act as a positive role model
  • Provide school support with homework and projects
  • Assist with daily routines and attend appointments
  • Responding to and managing crises (including reporting)

Essential requirements 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Have completed or enrolled to complete a Cert IV in a relevant field 
  • A valid Blue and Yellow Card (or combined)
  • A valid National Police or Crime Check
  • A current driver's license (P2s and above) with a fully registered vehicle
  • Provide First-Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Have completed PeakCare's “Hope and Healing” framework certificate
