Carinity Education – Shalom (Primary) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Youth Worker – Learning Support (YW-LS) to join the team. You will assist teaching staff by providing support to students to reengage and focus on classroom activities, in order to progress in academic work and achieve their goals, as well as their social emotional development.
What do I need for the role?
- Possession of Certificate III (or higher) in either Youth Work, Education Support, or relevant discipline.
- Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in a support capacity.
- Ability to relate to youth from different backgrounds to build positive, professional relationships.
- Willingness to gain a LR licence (highly desirable) to drive a 25-seater bus.
- Willingness to drive a mini-bus.
- Possession of a Working with Children Card (blue card).

Location: Carinity Education – Shalom
