Are you looking for a career that is both rewarding and challenging? Are you looking for an organisation that will support you in those challenging times? You've just found it!
To you, our newest Youth Worker, we say a very warm ‘welcome.'
About us
We are Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) and we believe that every person has the right to a decent life. And we do whatever it takes to make that happen. It is our core mission to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.
About the role
In this position, you will provide safe, supportive and trauma informed services to children and young people within the Permanency Support Program. You will supervise, support and care for children and young people with differing needs in a variety of settings, not limited to, supervising contact, transportation, mentoring, crisis support and residential care.
About you
You are warm. You're compassionate. You're also incredibly well-organised. The thought of managing a diverse workload does not faze you. Your practical working experience with children, young people and/or families in a community service setting puts you in an excellent position, as does your Cert III in Youth Work (working towards will be considered). Above all else, you are someone who truly cares about the work that you do.
Why join us?
We have the caring covered when it comes to your employment experience. In return for your hard work, you'll be rewarded with a competitive salary of $34.04 - $36.50 per hour plus casual loading, with an additional 10.5% employer superannuation guarantee. But more than that, we want you to truly love where you work. We place a tangible meaning on ‘work-life-balance' and trust us, we mean what we say! And between countless opportunities for training and development and staff wellbeing offerings, you will have no doubts about your value and worth to the organisation.
