ABOUT THE ROLE….
In this role you will provide care and mentorship to children and young people with medium to high needs in foster care settings to aide their transition to independent living
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, supervision and care with daily activities, personal care, meals, and homework. Ensuring the safety of the young people is maintained.
- Transport the young people to and from school, day activities, scheduled visits, appointments or meet any daily transporting requirements.
- Administering medication
- Support the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits while maintaining, updating and, writing reports as required.
- Liaise with other staff and relevant professionals.
- Follow guidelines, policies, and procedures in implementing behaviour intervention strategies.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant qualification in Youth Work or Community Services, or any other relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Valid Driver's Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check ,NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Current First Aid , CPR Certificate and a National Police Check within the last 12 months.
- Ability to work casual hours and a mixture of shifts including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
