2IC / Assistant Store Manager:
Earth Markets is a leading fresh produce chain of stores within South East Queensland, with over 25 years of experience serving an extensive range of high-quality fresh fruit, vegetables & groceries sourced from local farmers & growers. Our diverse workforce of over 120 employees spans a 70-year age range, and many of our employees have worked for Earth Markets for over five years!
Our Robina store earns the title of the 'flagship' location within the Group, showcasing the best selection of produce through its aesthetic displays.
Here we are searching for a seasoned professional within the fresh food sector to work alongside our Store Leader and contribute to the store's continued growth and success.
As an Assistant Store Manager candidate, you will already have:
- Verifiable experience within the fresh fruit and vegetable industry
- Retail experience and expertise in merchandising and marketing fresh food
- Strong knowledge of seasonal variations with produce
- Maturity, excellent communication skills and a natural ability to lead others
- High work ethic, initiative and a desire to progress within your career
- Intermediate level administrative skills, with the willingness and ability to learn our point of sale software system
- A forklift licence (highly regarded - but not essential)
- A love of starting work early - we begin our operations daily at 5 am
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example by providing exceptional customer service, ensuring customers have a delightful shopping experience.
- Manage the Store Team through critical trade periods, maintain the store's appearance and solve staff and customer issues as they arise.
- Showcasing your creative flair by creating captivating displays highlighting our fresh fruit, vegetables, deli and grocery products.
- Maintain and adjust accurate pricing and signage, using analytical and merchandising skills to increase sales and minimise waste.
- Cultivating a safe, clean, and organised environment where customers and team members thrive.
- Assisting and delegating the preparation of produce for sale and replenishment of the shop floor.
- Meaningfully contribute to the store's smooth operations, goals and objectives.
- Adapt swiftly to a dynamic, fast-moving business driven by product availability and market trends.
