Position Overview: We are currently seeking an 2nd year apprentice experienced Solar Worker to join our team as a Labourer/Apprentice. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for renewable energy to gain hands-on experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, and related tasks. Whether you're an experienced solar professional or just starting your career in the industry, this position provides the opportunity for growth and advancement. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of solar panels, mounting systems, and related equipment according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Support experienced technicians in conducting site assessments, system inspections, and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Perform general labor duties such as loading/unloading materials, and maintaining a clean worksite.
- Learn and apply best practices for solar installation techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of solar energy systems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of solar energy principles and components is a plus.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions, with a strong focus on safety.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges, with a strong commitment to professional growth and development.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
- OSHA certification and/or other relevant credentials are advantageous but not required.
