As we continue to expand, we're on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled 3D Printer Technician to join our dynamic team.
The Role:
As a 3D Printer Technician with 3D Printer Gear, you'll have a key role in the mechanical assembly and servicing of 3D printers, providing customer support, and conducting on-site repairs. This role offers a blend of technical skill, customer service, and the opportunity to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Duties:
Mechanical Assembly:
- Assemble product parts and 3D printers accurately and to a high standard.
- Assist in creating work procedures, commissioning, testing, securing, packaging, and dispatching completed printers.
- Maintain essential stock levels.
Front of House:
- Engage with and support customers in our shopfront, process orders, and assist with troubleshooting.
- Conduct cash transactions and uphold a clean and inviting shopfront appearance.
- Recommend the best 3D printers and materials to customers.
On-site Servicing/Repairs:
- Carry out on-site services and repairs, preparing adequately with necessary spare parts and tools.
- Provide exceptional service and support to on-site clients.
Assistance:
- Operate and manage print jobs on the print farm.
- Assist with packaging online orders and other light duty tasks.
- Contribute to stock management, website maintenance, and product listings.
About You:
- Manual driving licence is preferred.
- Experience in mechanical assembly (experience with 3D printers is not necessary as comprehensive training will be provided)
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
