Job Summary Immediate need for a sixth grade teacher to teach Social Studies and science in a core setting. Additional instructional duties may be required. Requirements / Qualifications

Individuals must be authorized or eligible to teach in California. Please submit a copy of your valid CA multiple subjects teaching credential or documents that show your immediate eligibility for a CA teaching credential. The District welcomes University Interns. All applicants must have the authorization to teach English language learners. Letter of Introduction (Please tell us about your philosophy of teaching.) Resume (A resume provides so much more detail than the EdJoin form.) Multiple Subject Teaching Credential - General Subjects Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate (CLAD, BCLAD or other authorization to teach English learners)

As this vacancy is due to a mid-year resignation, the District is offering this position as a long-term substitute teacher with the potential for the candidate to retain a permanent position. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by the Superintendent, based upon education and experience of candidate. You will need to provide official transcripts to support your salary schedule placement. Salary range quoted above is for full-time, year-long teaching and will be prorated based upon start date. The District contributes $1900 per month towards health & welfare benefits including medical, vision and dental. Final candidate will be fingerprinted (at our expense) in accordance with California law. Final candidate must show recent evidence of being free of active TB prior to employment. This position is open until filled; however, applications will be reviewed as they are received and interviews scheduled accordingly. University interns and individuals who reflect the diversity of our student body are encouraged to apply.
