- Salary: $1,084.10 - $1,095.80 per week (pro-rata) - WHA4
- Multiple Permanent Part-Time positions available (hours to be negotiated), working over a 7 day roster
Working under limited supervision, you will assist in the care and supervision of aged care clients of the Residential Care Homes across Kapunda. This will include providing assistance with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming of residents, along with toileting and continence management. You will help with feeding residents and maintain their mobility/dexterity through transferring and lifting, including the use of mechanical aides. You will also undertake bed making, cleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area (including personal possessions), and distribute clean laundry and personal attire. Providing input into resident assessment and recording general observations, you will help to identify diversional therapy needs of individuals and groups, and complete routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will have completed the AQF Certificate III in aged care and have experience working with aged care clients. Demonstrating the ability to perform under limited direction, you will work well within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Along with a commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality, you will display empathy towards the elderly and be willing to develop a positive rapport with residents and their families.
