An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Digital Content and Social Media Officer to join a State Government Department with a mission to facilitate the development and implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives for a key national program. About the role
The A05 Digital Content and Social Media Officer is responsible for driving, inspiring and implementing Social Media campaigns for a national program. You will be responsible for providing Digital Content for Social Media channels and web platforms, while also championing government content auditing processes. Working with the Customer Experience and Engagement Team, you will manage community engagement and ensure the effectiveness of Social Media campaigns.
A summary of your responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute creative Social Media campaigns for key program messaging across digital platforms;
- Manage key relationships with internal teams offering strategic digital marketing advice where possible;
- Create, edit, and curate engaging content (copy, photos, reels) to showcase program initiatives on various channels;
- Oversee the program's Social Media calendar and channels, fostering audience growth and interaction;
- Collaborate within a team to moderate community engagement on Social Media platforms;
- Stay updated on emerging Social Media trends, exploring new channels for enhanced communication and stakeholder engagement; and
- Assist in managing paid campaigns and maintain a dynamic relationship with the Queensland Government's external stakeholders.
About u
This is an A05 level role , in order to be competitive, you will at least 4 years' experience in Social Media and Digital Content.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, digital marketing or related field;
- Proven experience in developing creative Social Media campaigns;
- Excellent understanding of digital trends and proven ability to use Social Media tools;
- Working knowledge of state government best practices and standards (preferable but not essential); and
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
